10 km from Kętrzyn, in Gierłoż, visitors may spend their time surrounded by nature. There is a Miniature Park of Warmia and Masuria which presents miniatures of the most beautiful monuments in the region including: Malbork Castle, St. Mary’s Sanctuary in Święta Lipka, Palace in Drogosze. The region’s culture is displayed in the form of full-sized cabins in an open-air museum. The Military Park presents exhibits from World War II and a unique, 40 square meters model of the Wolf’s Lair. Tourists may also try on outfits from various periods of time and use the shooting ranges. One for ASGs (Air Soft Guns) and the other for those who want to feel like knights by using bow and arrows. The youngest guests have a model railway, trampoline, bungee, inflatable slides etc at their disposal.
Mazurski Piknik Militarny WALKIRIA is an annual event; the main attraction is historical reenactment.
