Thanks to the variety of architecture, a stroll along the streets of Kętrzyn is exceptionally charming; the next stage of our walk will take us to the Art Nouveau tenement houses on Sikorskiego Street, where we will find St. Catherine’s Church. This structure was erected in the Neo-Gothic style, and it was consecrated by Bishop Andrzej Thiel assisted by the chapter of Warmia in 1897. The church still houses Neo-Gothic furniture, the main altar and side altars, while the old lectern makes the place all the more majestic. The church regained its original splendour after reconstruction work was completed in 1956.
