Near the Basilica, we will find St. John’s Protestant Church. It was built in the mid-16th century as a result of rebuilding a former 15th century chapel. The main altar dates back to 1717 and it has paintings on wood and sculptures that portray St. Peter and St. John, among many others. The 1730 baroque lectern is ornamented by 11 scenes from the Bible set on wood.
